Sports Massage Techniques: Soft tissue release

An excellent skill to add to your bodywork repertoire!Effective for treating and preventing musculoskeletal injury and pain, soft tissue release breaks down adhesions through a combination of muscle stripping and stretching and can easily be incorporated into your current work.
Guy Gladstone

Pulsing, Rhythmic Movement Massage

Pulsing is a gentle form of bodywork that combines movements of stretching, lifting and rotating with a continuous rhythmic rocking. During this workshop we will focus on movements that will free the head, neck and shoulders, mobilise energy in the legs and amplify thoracic breathing.

Sports and Remedial Massage for Upper Limbs

An introduction to the application of Muscle Energy Technique (MET) as a remedial massage tool. MET is a comprehensive manual therapy system for evaluation and treatment of joint restrictions throughout the body. The theory behind MET suggests that if a joint isn't used to its full range of motion, its function will lessen and it will be at risk of suffering strains and injuries. MET is an effective dry technique for maintaining full range of motion of the joint and is therefore a preventative measure against injuries.
